Abstract: | Regression Testing is a type of software testing which aims at ensuring that recent changes has not adversely affected existing features of a program. Regression Testing is nothing but re-execution of already executed test cases which are re-executed with an objective of revealing errors that can arise in unchanged part of code due to modifications made. Re-executing all test cases with which program was tested before changes is costly in terms of time and resources. In this project a desktop tool is developed to select only a subset of test cases for regression testing. REGTEST implements Regression Test Selection using Execution Trace. User input two versions of program and test file with which he has evaluated the program before modifying it. Regression tester returns a subset from the test file which user will use for regression testing of modified program. |
