Abstract: Series of ferrocene substituted organometallic thioureas complexes of general formula [(C5H5FeC5H4)2(C6H4)2NC(S)NH]M where, M =(Au, Mn, Ni, Cu, Co, Pt., and Ru) have been synthesized and characterized by using elemental analysis, FT-IR, multinuclear (1H and 13C) NMR spectroscopy and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The compounds interaction with the DNA has been studied by using UV -Visible spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. DNA binding data showed that all the synthesized compounds are showing good interaction with the DNA. The negative and positive shift in peak potential and decrease in peak current were used to study mode of interactions and different DNA binding parameters. All the screened compounds had the electrostatic and intercalation mode of interaction with DNA. All screened compounds have good antibacterial activity. Some of the screening compound shows a good anticancer activity. All the synthesized compounds show effective antioxidant activities.
