Abstract: Increase in population caused increase in the housing and uses of the land for housing cause food insecurity. When more housing schemes were constructed then land was required. The agricultural land was converted in to housing schemes or societies. As an agricultural country, Pakistan is still facing the issue of food insecurity because of large scale of agricultural land was converted in to housing schemes. The researcher used quantitative research technique to collect the data from the respondents of 200 continently selected from the District Faisalabad. It was discovered that mostly people thought that construction of housing schemes were the basic cause of food insecurity and construction of housing schemes. Pakistan had resources but increase in population directly affects the resources. Therefore, increase in population leads to the construction of more housing which is the cause of food insecurity.
