Abstract: | The day by day increase in population has leads to food insecurity. The agricultural land space was covered into the scheme of housing society. As agricultural country, Pakistan is also still facing problem of food insecurity since large scale of agricultural land was covered into housing schemes. Pakistan has resources but growing population directly affects the resources. It is observed that the position of food security in Pakistan is going downward and it immediately need to be improved. For this purpose, the quantitative study was concluded in Bhara Kahu. Sample size was of 120 respondents. The tool for data collection was questionnaire. Simple random sampling was used by researcher to choose the sample. SPSS version IBM SPSS Statistic 20 was use as toolfor data analysis. It identified that overpopulation is caused by increasing of migrated people and they were also creating shrinkage of Agricultural land space. It also find that increasing population is the cause of shortage of water. However, situation of population increasing is due to construction of housing which is a cause offood insecurity. |
