This research was conducted to analyse the role of coal mines in the Tehsil Duki, District Loralai. However, coal mines brought immense development and improved the socio-political standards of people. Coal economy play dominant role in the regional politics of Tehsil Duki, District Loralai. In this research Karl Marx theory of mode of production and Leslie white theory of the evolution of culture was applied to gave perspective over the evolution of society in the region. The main purpose of this study was to determine the socio political impacts of coal mining in the Tehsil Duki, District Loralai. The numbers of respondents were 120. Purposive sampling technique was used to gathered data from respondents. This research shows huge development in Tehsil Duki, District Loralai but due to absence of sound impact assessment policy, coal mines has polluted the environment. Thus, it will be a larger interest of people that government form sound impact assessment policy to bring further prosperity and development in Tehsil Duki, District Loralai.
