Abstract: Drug addiction is common phenomenon in the Pakistani society. People use different kinds of drugs. During literature review, the researcher found a gap in religious affiliation and drug addiction. The researcher did not found any literature on basic techniques of drug intake in the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. The researcher conducted 23 in-depth interviews and two focus group discussions for data collection with the help of interview guide. The researcher has found that users use different techniques such as apple smoking, glass smoking, rochi, balochi cigarette and drug use have become norm and value among the respondents. Further, it became subculture among the drug addicts. Students use drugs for pleasure, to feel good and to do better in exams. The study revealed that most people started drugs with their friends and peer and they became addicted. Female students use drugs because of tensions anxiety and depression. These students addicted to legal drugs (prescribed as medicine once) and male addicted to illegal drugs. Drugs effected individual's social roles, relations and academic performance.
