ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIOLOGY AT QUAID-I-AZAM UNIVERSITY (2013 - 2016)

Abstract

The Researcher have chosen the topic of "Origin and Development of Sociology Department at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad (2013 -2 016) " because the researcher personally wanted to !mow about the development in the subject that the researcher has chosen for herself. No work was done on the origin and development of Sociology in Quaid-i-Azam University before. The theOlY of Academic Dep endency and the factors which govern it have also been highlighted in this th esis. Quantitative method/eN' conducting the research has been used. SPss software was usedfor extracting the results. According to the results quantitative research was done in more ratio as compared to qualitative research. Different methodologies have been used by the students for getting results of their theses. The ratio of male students enrolled in the university was more compared to thefell1ale student in MSc. program/i'om 2013 to 2016. The percentage of number of theses supervised by the scholars of Quaid-i-Azam University have been analyzed. The number of references and the average year o.freferences used by the students in their respective thesis have been evaluated.
