Abstract: Child labor is a far reaching and de veloping wonder in developing co untries. In this giobalized world it is considered one of the major and most interesting issue for evelJl academician, professionals and media p eople both electronic and printed. Child labor is considered a work thatreplldiateschildren of their childhood and productive activity like games etc, and harsh to their physiological and psy chological improvement. The literature which "vas studied on child labor explores that unemployment in developing countries, low level of income, poverty and various other reasons are the main causes of child labor like occupational structllral set up, social relation q/ production, unavailability of cheap labor, socio-cultural reasons and their educational .s:ystem, parental decisions and their preferences, absence of social security. The researcher has chosen the coal mines of district DukJd for the data collection about the conditions of child labour because in that district child often does economic activities in coal mines. Researcher has collected data ./i'Oln 10 respondents. The researcher has used purposive sampling and q1falitative research method. This research method was used because the researcher wanted to analyze the main reasons 0/ the production 0/ the child labor which could be understood through in-depth interviews from the target population. The data was analyzed through thematic analysis. The results of the study were that, low education, p oorfamily, poverty, unemployment and family debts are the main reasons of the child labor in district Dukki. The study was concluded, that child labor is badly aflecting th e children and deprived th e childrenfrom their basic right of edllcation. ii
