Abstract: Astrological beliefs are becoming popular among youth. The objective of this study was to analyze the role of electronic media and religion behind development of astrological beliefs and its effects in the life of people. Literature explains different kinds of astrological beliefs in different areas of the world Additionally, it also contextualizes individual experiences and their role behind astrological beliefs. Many researches have been done in different countries of the world to know the interest of people and young generation on their astrological beliefs. In Pakistani societies, either rural or urban, astrology has not been very popular. The reason behind lack of interest could be explained in terms of religion and media (electronic, print) which were not much focused on astrology in past. Universities from twin cities were selected to conduct this research and students from BS to PhD with a sample size of 250 students from all universities of twin cities were target population to obtain their opinion regarding astrological beliefs. Findings after obtaining the data revealed that students with urban residential background expressed more interest in astrology as compared to students from rural background Additionally, BS students are more concerned about their zodiac signs, and girls give more importance to astrology as compared to boys. It is concluded that astrology has become an integral part of people 's lives and they seek knowledge from astrology for their future and problems
