Title: CLINICAL ASPECTS OF COUPLE INFERTILITY IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI PAKISTAN

Abstract: Infertility is the growing world health issue. For the first time in 1970s infertility was considered as public health issue. Male and female both are facing the problems of infertility. The present qualitative research was conducted to find out about the clinical aspects of the infertility. This research was conducted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to find out how many infertility clinics are working on this issue, what treatments are provided in these clinics and what are the reasons of male and female infertility in Palastan. In-depth interviews from 15 respondents were conducted regarding this prevailing issue of Palastan. The research finds out that there are some leading clinics working on infertility specially of both male and female along with this all the leading infertility treatments are available and are practiced in these clinic except surrogacy and sperm, egg donations because they are having some religious limitations related to Islam. The main issue of male and female infertility was revealed by the research is the poor diet and lifestyle of people of Palastan. The key findings of the research were that presently there are professionals available for the treatment of infertility and they are well experienced and trained in their field. Along with this people are also showing positive response towards the infertility treatment practiced in Pakistan. The research shows that gender preselection is practiced in Pakistan and people are accepting it positively. Different perspectives form different medical professionals were observed regarding gender preselection but this is provided in Pakistan. The research also showed that infertility treatments has no prominent and major side effects on the body oj male and female. Although there are certain other health problems discussed by the professionals which can become a reason of infertility in male and female. The results show that infertility like other health issues is given equal importance and leading professionals and clinics are available to look into the problem separately and deeply.
