Abstract: In this chapter, nature of canonical object along with its embedding media have briefly been discussed. The section 1.1 of this dissertation consists of brief discussion about scattering and its different study methods purposed by researchers. Kobayashi potential (KP) method is also one of those methods. This method and its limitation have concisely been analyzed in section 1.2. In section 1.3, biography of Professor Iwao Kobayashi has been given, briefly. In section 1.4 of this chapter, different kind of media, in which canonical object is placed, has been reviewed and discussed along with some of their practical applications. Finally, nature of canonical object is being discussed in section 1.5 of this dissertation.
