Abstract: | We have attempted some diffraction problems in the theory of acoustic waves. Firstly, we examine the scattering of acoustic waves by three half-planes due to a line source excitation in still air. The matrix wiener-hopf approach is adopted to solve this problem. The problem is further extended to the case of point source diffraction.
