Abstract: | The coherence properties of a trapped dilute Bose gas has been studied by using a formalism which is similar to the one used in qnantum optics. We have calculated the correlation functions for dilute Bose gas trapped in an external potential. The results for condensed and uncondensed Bose gas showed that the degree of first- · and second-order coherence are therefore functions of temperature, chemical potential and position. |
