Abstract: The project is based on an electronic Road Safety System; it can prevent automobile theft by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile (GSM) as the technology for the completion of the proposed system. This system provides security by using ignition cut off mechanism. GSM technology is used to assist the owner in critical situations like theft and accident. The module sends an alert message to the car owner if the ignition is switched on by an unauthorized person, then the owner can reply to the GSM module and switch off the ignition. The proposed system can perform the same operation in the case of rash driving and also in case of an accident to call emergency services.
