Abstract: The present study was conducted to explore the presence and engagement of female students in the student councils at Quaid I Azam University Islamabad. The Sample was taken from Quaid I Azam University Islamabad by using a convenient sample technique. The sample consisted of 25 female students of age 18 to 29. According to research conducted findings revealed that female participation in student politics at campus plays important role in the encouragement of female participation in politics and most of the females face different challenges and problems while participating in the student council at the campus. It also showed political participation encourages and empower female towards political consciousness. The study was aimed at exploring the participation of female students on the campus. The key findings of the study show the problems and challenges during participation in the student council, and the impact on the participation and the major reasons for less participation of females in student councils.
