Abstract: National development is only reliant on achieving sustainability. Theoretical and contextual studies by behavioral sciences and psychological sciences have promoted green behaviour to solve stable environmental issues. The key purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of environmental knowledge, environmental attitude and environmental practices towards green behaviour. The theoretical framework is designed under two broader terms known as cognitive and psychological variables. Environmental responsible behaviour theory focuses the knowledge as a prerequisite of conservative environmental behaviour. Environmental Citizen Model as, the diligent pro environmental acts utilizing individual and social initiatives aimed at solving contemporary ecological challenges, achieving biodiversity. University students were opted as unit of study using probability sampling with sample of 375 sample size with only 150 were valid representing the correct response rate of 40%. Estimate maximization were used to handle and monitor the missing values. Gender wise distribution states that maximum number of respondents were male comprising of 60% and 40% females. Descriptive analysis exhibiting maximum and minimum values, mean scores of the variables ranging, standard deviation scores are ranging. Inferential statistics was used to analyze reliability and validity of data revealing the direct relationship of independent and dependent variables. A strong direct relation has been observed among student’s environmental knowledge, environmental attitude towards green behaviour. However, it is observed that practicing green behaviour is lacked. This research has established the application of environmental responsible theory and environmental citizen model in explaining the analysis has also offered evidence for reformulation of the norm activation principle between environmental knowledge and environmental attitude and practices towards green behaviour.
