Abstract: | A 15 km long seismic survcy was perlonncd along Line # 8S I-CW-OS by OGDC. The area 01· prospect is Chnk Naurung in Eastern Salt Range and Potwar Plateau. This 24- told fu lly processed, migrated seismic seclion represents a Reverse I:null Hlld three re llectors R, - Top Eocene, R, - Base Cambrian, R, - Basement are marked. The dcpll1s are calculated by lIsing Average velocities derived li'om interval velocities given al 7 CDI' poi nts. The deplh sections are plotted in Ihree di ITerentmanners by using Average Isovelocity Plots and Mean Velocity-timc Plot. Isovelocity Plots show lateral and vertical velocily varialions. The mean velocil y time plot shows Ihe velocity varialion lo r the two-way lravel lime of Ihe rellectors along the seismic pro lile. The Conslant Velocities derived I·rolll velocily 7.ones and velocity gradients show equal coord lnatlOll with tile well data. The average thickness of Salt Range ronnallon calcu lated frolll the depth secl ion is 1638m and of ClIInbrian-Eocene rocks is 600m approx imately along Ihe la ult plane. The Dip,Hade,Throw and I leave 01" the I" ult calculated is 70:20:390111 and 35m approximately. Also Ihe maximum resolution is possihlc 1i,,·lhe heds which arc 36m 10 43mlhick.The verlical and horizontal resolul ion or rcllcclors <.J\.:creascs witl1 increase ill vclocily, limc and depth |
