Abstract: Terrorism has been evolving for thousands of years in the shape of Religious, Political and Criminals tactics. There are different causes and effects of terrorism according to the society and era. What we call terrorism today traces its roots back at least some 2000 years. But today terrorism has now become a global threat and it is affecting the daily lives of the people. In these modern times, with the advancement of information technology, threat of terrorism is not just confined to specific locality or region. According to the title 22 of the United States (US) Code, Section 2656f (d), terrorism is defined as the “Premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against non-combatant targets by sub national groups or clandestine agents.” 1 The same aforementioned US law describes “International Terrorism” as the “terrorism involving citizens or the territory of more than one country.”
