Abstract: This main theme of this research is to explore the spread of Buddhism in Central Asia. The traditional concept of the spread of Buddhism was via Silk Road and china. This research concluded that monks and preachers of Buddhism spread the Buddhism with the support of traders and kings, especially Ashoka and Karishna. Moreover, the route was followed from Gandhara to Afghanistan and to central Asia
