Abstract: | A seismic Migrated Stack section 946-0IK-07 of Dera Ismail Khan area, was provided to me by Earth Sciences department of Quaid-i-Azam university Islamabad were interpreted in the present work .. The line that provided me is strike line. The section comprised of a total of shot points from SP-102 to SP-750 but I have to interpret from SP-102 to SP-460. The root mean square velocity, Dix interval velocity, Dix Average Velocity at different times was given. Eleven prominent reflectors are marked on the seismic sections on the basis of observed reflection events. The marked reflecto rs include R1 (PLIOCENE AGE), R2 (MIOCENE AGE), R3 (UNCONFORMITY), R4 (PALEOCENE AGE), R5 (MESOZOIC AGE), R6 (MESOZOIC AGE), R7 (MESOZOIC AGE), R7 (MESOZOIC AGE), R8 (MESOZOIC AGE), R9(PALEOZOIC AGE), R10(PRECAMBRIAN AGE), R11(BASEMENT).The formation of these reflectors could not mark because of unavailability of well tops. A time section is produced from the seismic section using the SP pOints and the two-way-times (TWT) of the reflectors and faults. These average velocities are then used to find the depths of the formations for the Geoseismic Section or Depth Section. Rather than this work Reflection Cofficient, Poission Ratio,Velocity,Depth Time contouring and mapping of the Reflector 2(MIOCENE AGE have also done. |
