dc.description.abstractThe study explored the role of aggression in the context of association between Shyness and internalizing problems. The sample consist of children between 16 to 18 years of age (N=150 boys, girls=150). The sample was collected from four girls and boys federal government colleges of Rawalpindi/Islamabad. To study the relationship between Shyness and Internalizing Problems in students, the Shyness Questionnaire developed by Crozier (1995) and Child Problem Checklist developed by Tariq and Hanif (2007) were used. For measuring Aggression in students, Buss and Perry (1992) Aggression Questionnaire was used. Achievement was assessed with grades of previous class. Result revealed that there is a significant relationship between shyness and internalizing problems. There is non-significant relationship of shyness with academic achievement. The role of aggression between shyness and internalizing problems is significant that covert aggression lead to shyness and more internalizing problems. The present study is very helpful in examining the role of aggression between shyness and internalizing problems. The findings of the present study will be also useful for the future research.en_US
