Abstract: | Psychology is, broadly, the use of scientific methods to understand the behaviour of individuals. The contribution psychology can make to criminological issues reflects the strengths and limitations of the discipline as a whole. Psychologists undergo rigorous training in research methods, which makes them well placed to conduct investigations and to comment on and evaluate the research and practices of others. Psychology, in particular through its work on personality disorder and criminality introduced the idea that psychopathic behaviors that were aggressive or seriously antisocial while carried out rationally nonetheless contributed to diminished responsibility and an inclination towards crime. Psychology has a wider blief, engaging in aspects ofthe investigation and prosecution of crime as well as searching for causes and treating offenders. This research paper aims at proving that whether there is a direct relation between crime and psychology or not. After critically analysing the former researches conducted by criminologists and psychologists, the research paper focuses on proving that there exists a relation bewteen crime and psychology |
