Abstract: Drug abuse is a phenomenon which is polluting our society and particularly youth to a greater extent. Students are routinely addicted to this abuse and find solace in drug addiction while neglecting their core duties of study. Drug addiction is not a natural phenomenon, yet it is caused by bad company, easy availability and lack of administrative control. Quaid-i-azam University which is known for its research and academic ranking is plagued by this abuse. Use of drugs by students is old trend revealed by several historical evidences. Students have now made it a popular culture. University's environment plays great part in providing such an atmosphere in which students tend to become addicted. Although this situation is grave, but it can be dealt by strict control of university administration and career counseling of students.
