Abstract: Several ali forms are unified; architecture and literature are among them. There is not any doubt that architecture is made up of physical material but it has its experiences that go beyond the tangible world. Architecture is a form of ali that uses materials and shapes as a tool while literature deals with words and the common thing between them is idea and thought. It is an art form that generate an enclosed space by variety of material using shapes and fonns for different purposes. It is not only a mathematical or geometrical application but an expression as well. Words are the expression of literature. This thesis is an exeliion to reunite the two forms and reveal the hidden expressions of architecture described in literature. Literature creates an image of space whereas architecture makes an actual space having meanings that are required to understand. This research is designed to understand how psychological and social meanings are constructed in buildings and how they are communicated to the reader through literary fiction focusing on the contribution of both the art fonns to each other. The architectural forms depicted in a story narrates the psychological, social and financial standing of a society or a pati of it at a specific time. This study is the founding stone for future studies in Pakistan as it is based on the social and psychological impact of architecture on human kind through literary evidences. The research methodology will be based on the techniques as "Architectural Literary Analysis" and methods as historical research highlighting a case study. As per the characteristic, the research is Artistic and Humanistic. Architecture Literary Analysis is based on the two theories of Architecture i.e. Social Logic of Space and Place Theory combining it with Place attachment. The findings of the study will portray that the architectural depictions are not only to provide a support to the plot but also to depict space and time along with the feelings and attachment associated to the place. Moreover, architecture has sheer impOliance as per its immaterial aspect associated to it. Thus, reading the literary fiction as an instrument to study architecture will develop an original and a better approach to study architecture beyond material and literature beyond words. Moreover the results and findings shows that psychological and social meanings are constructed in a story meaningfully to address the issues of society and the reader. Both the art forms i.e. architecture and literature support each other to decode the hidden meanings delivered through architecture. Hence, architectural depictions are used not only to depict space and time but is used as a symbolical pillar to SUpp0l1 another form of art i.e. architecture. Architecture doesn't only serve the purpose of beautifying a story and making it more vivid, but sometimes also stands alone as the main supporting element for the plot.
