dc.description.abstractIslamophobia is a term which is widely used in academia and public discourse bllt what exactly is Islamophobia and what it means in depth that would be discllssed in this research paper. Moreover, this research paper will also explore that how the incident of 9/11 transformed the definition of Islamophobia and changed the lives of Muslims in the United States of America. This study wi ll also use secondarv data to -' . -' highlight the role played by media and certain politicians to prove that Islam is a religion of terror and Muslims are terrorists or sympathizers of terrorists. Lastly, this study will point out the role played by 'Muslim scholars to clear out the misunderstanding whicb people of the United States had regarding the religion of Islam and it wi ll also explain in detail that how [Vlus lims t~1ced discrimination, physical and verbal abuse after tbe incident of 9/11. This study will prove that fslamophobia is real. and Muslims are st ill facing discrimination because of this phenomenonen_US
