Abstract: | The current study aimed to explore the relationship between co-rumination, social support, and burnout among working individuals. Moreover mediating role of co-rumination in the relationship between social support and burnout was also found. Further the current study also investigated the role of demographic variables such as age, gender, job duration, working hours, organizations, and education along study variables. For this purpose convenient sample of 20.g working individuals were collected from various organizations of Islamabad. Three measures were used in the study. Co-rumination Questionnaire (Rose, 20.0.2) measures the co-rumination in working individuals, Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (Kristensen & Borritz, 20.11) measures the level of burnout, and social support in co-workers is measured by O'discrol Measure of Social Support (O' discrol, 20.0.0.). Scales has satisfactory alpha reliabilities. Pearson 's correlation, t-test, ANOVA, and mediation analysis was computed to test the hypotheses. Results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between co-rumination, social support, and burnout in working individuals. Co-rumination mediated the relationship between social support and burnout. At the end limitations, implications, and recommendations for future research are discussed. |
