dc.description.abstractThe present stud y attempted to in vestigate the re lationship between superviso ry support, psychological ownership in job stress and affective commitment among employees. The sample comprised of 350 employees of publ ic and private organization from Rawa lpindi and Islamabad including both men (N =286) and women (N=64) with age ranges from 23-52 years. Superv isory Support Sca le (Eisenberger.et.a l, 1996), Psychological Ownership Scale (A vey et aI., 2012), Job Stress Sca le (Parker et aI, 1993) and Affective Commitment Scale (Allen & Meyer, 1992) were used in the present study to measure the percepti ons of supervisory support, psycho logica l ownership in job stress and affective commitment among employees. Pearson Product Moment corre lation, ANOVA, t-test and regression analysis were carried out to determine the proposed relationships. The resul ts showed that supervisory support is positively associated with psychological ownership and affective commitment while negatively associated with job stress among employees. Signifi cant differences are found between gender, education, income and job designation . Demographics variab les related to organizational ~ettin gs e.g., gend er, age, job experience and education and limitations and implications of the study have also been di scussed.en_US
