Data analytics on Telecom Dataset

Abstract

Telecom companies are unaware of the volume of data that could, on proper analysis, can get deeper insights into customer behavior, preferences, interests, and service usage pattems. This is what Data analytics is for Telcos. With the increasing adoption of smartphones and growth in mobile Intemet, Telcos today have access to exceptional amounts of data sources including - customer profiles, device data, network data, customer usage patterns, location data, apps downloaded. This project is developed to give any telecom companies a way of making better business decisions to improve their business. The project provides end-users intelligent repOlis which show the trend of data visually using techniques like graphs, histograms, and maps, etc. The application takes the telecom data and transfonn, clean, and load into the data warehouse. It involves the process of ETL (Extract, Transfonn, and Load) in which we can load the data from the sources into the staging area. There we can transfonn data according to our requirements. Then load it into the Data Warehouse. The data in the data warehouse is being stored in facts and dimension tables. The analysis will be canied out on the data this leads to data visualization. A visual dashboard and report will be generated on that data. These visualized data repOlis then presented to the company manager, end-users. From these visualized repolis the company takes better business decisions.
