Abstract: Acetone extract of Teucrium royleanum and Teucrium stocksianum of Labiatae family was subjected to various chromatographic techniques for the separation and purification of different components. Four pure compounds (pentatriacontanone(4), hentriacontadien-1-ol(6), (Z)-12-nonadecen- 9-one ( 10) and 5,23-stigmastadien-3-0-galactoside(12)) from Teucrium royleanum and one pure compound (5,22-stigmastadien-3-ol(13)) from Teucrium stocksianum were isolated. Eight components (mixture of triactoane, hentriacontane(l), hentriacontane, tritriacontane, pentatriacontane( 2), tetracosylester and its higher homologues(3) octylester and its higher homologues(5) triterpenes(7), mixture of 5,22,25-stigmastatrien- 3- 01 and 5,25- stigmastadien- 3- 01(8) mixture of octadecanoic acid methylester and octadecadienoic acid methylester(9) and hexacosanoic acid and its higher homologues(ll»were isolated from Teucrium royleanum. Structures 1 13 W4re identified with the help of IR, H-NMR, C-NMR and MS spectroscopy.
