Abstract

The obj ective of this project report IS to provide a detailed and thorough understanding of an interactive web-based Tourist Guide. The interactive website keeps comprehensive information of tourist resorts as well as wide range of lodging information of particular areas. The developed system has the abi lity to perform robust search func tions. The search engine of the system enables the end user to extract the desired data from the system, which is displayed appropriately on the user screen. The system provides authenticated users access to the information in the database and enables them to insert, update and delete relevant touri st and lodging information. The system also illustrates some recent services introduced by the chain of hotels, transpOlis which are being offered to the tourist.
