Abstract: | Plethora of research work exists on strategic dimension of India-Pakistan relations. However, the focus of such literature has largely remained land centric. This research is intended to highlight a neglected dimension of India-Pakistan strategic postures- i.e., maritime dimension. While briefly explaining historical roots of this paucity, the research will highlight the significance of the India-Pakistan’s maritime domain i.e., the North Arabian Sea which is located in the North Western Indian Ocean, for, it is one of the hotspots where implications of the current maritime powers’ geopolitical competition are profoundly evident. It will address the changing naval postures of both India and Pakistan and future challenges Pakistan Navy is likely to face. |
