Abstract: | This thesis explores the two key aspects in the subject of cyber politics. The first is to be establishing a theoretical foundation for concerns in the realm of cyber technology and to understand cyber politics in the twenty-first century. More crucially, this effort uses different IR theories related to technology and security to create a framework that helps to define, comprehend, clarify, and hopefully forecast the nature of cyber politics using a theoretical framework. When it comes to power and politics, the realism school of thought is unavoidable. My research is focusing on the question of whether realism is compatible in the age of cyber technology, and if so, how, and if not, what are the alternatives. Moreover, it's worth noting that much of the existing literature on cyber politics looks at the issue from a policy perspective rather than a theoretical one. This effort assists in comprehending the whole picture of cyber technology and its possible applications in other industries, making it easier to design and apply Cyber Security best practices to handle the problem. This work contributes to bridging the policy-theory divide. The thesis' second part explore the significance of cyberspace in global politics. In world politics, cyberspace has altered the paradigm from a means to an end, this has explained with the United States and China cyber politics as case study. The goal of this part is to define the dangers of cyber technology, their scope, and their behavior. States are leveraging cyberspace against their opponents to achieve their interests, rather than adopting some counterstrategy or global legal forum to make the cyber space globe secure. This exploitation of both nations' cyberspace not only revolutionized the competing paradigm but also raising the possibility of a new cold war, with cyber technology as the focal point. This work also folds out momentarily to create a secure and safe cyber environment by implementing some preventative measures and signing a worldwide cyber treaty. The global cyber treaty can only be achieved if governments recognize their roles and duties and demonstrate their commitment to creating a safe cyberspace world |
