Abstract: Numismatics is the systematic study of coins with the cross disciplinary connections having found a central role in the interpretation of the history of art, religion, politics, political geography, and economy of the ancient and medieval world. The objectives of the study were: scientific identification of the Indo-Greek coins, scientific documentation and analytical study of the Indo-Greek coins from the reserved collection of Islamabad Museum, Department of Archaeology and Museums. To meet the objectives of the study primary and secondary sources were consulted. Photography and measurement of the coins was carried out. In Chapter 1, introduction and historical background to Indo Bactrian Greeks was documented. In Chapter 2, Indo-Greek Kingdom, Hellenistic Kings and their Contributions were documented. In Chapter 3, Catalogue of the Indo-Greek coins was devised scientifically. In Chapter 4, Descriptions of the coins were originated from the verified literary sources
