Abstract: | In this Disse11ation, seismic interpretation is done in order to study subsurface structures of research area, Pirkoh. It is a 2-Dimensional Seismic reflection data of 816-PRK-09, 816-PRK-6E, 818-PRK-Olis correlated with well Pirkoh-O 1. Well correlation of P irkoh-O 1 with Ahmedpur well is also done. Introduction to the area and seismic lines has been given, where seismic lines 816-PRK-09, 816-PRK-6E, 818-PRK-Ol have been briefly discussed with the Base map of the area. Ghazij Shale, Dunghan Limestone and Pab Sandstone are marked with the help of Pirkoh-O 1 well tops. The Time and Depth Contour maps are prepared on SMT Kingdom software showing a pop up structure bounded east and west by reverse faults. Faults are NE - SW trending. Pirkoh-Ol is also located on the pop up structure. In order to better interpret the Seismic results obtained, the geological aspect of the area must be understood. Geological settings, Structural aspects in general and stratigraphy Of the area in particular has been discussed in detail. General Principles and methods of Seismic studies is actually an overview of basic concepts and methods of seismic. Seismic methods and role of different velocities have been explained. Methods of seismic data acquisition have been presented. The methods of processing of acquired seismic data have been discussed. In the last of this project, pictures from subsurface obtained by Seismic reflection data and well correlation have been thoroughly Interpreted. |
