dc.description.abstract | Hand embroidery involves utilizing various needles, threads, and metal bands to decorate the fabric. This research examined foreign influences on local patterns. The purpose of this study is to identify the names, types, and techniques for hand embroidery stitches. This study also indicates the collection of hand embroidery patterns. Qualitative research method is used to collect data. Primary and Secondary data is collected primarily. Primary data is collected through photography and individual interviews and secondary data is collected through articles. In the past, hand needlework was done on bed sheets, boxes, pillowcases, table runners, and landscapes. As you can see, hand embroidery is currently done on a variety of items, including hats, purses, shoes, jewellery, key chains, bookmarks, masks, buttons, and leather jackets. It is also done on jarsi, hoops, leather, and denim. In Multan, a variety of hand embroidered patterns are utilized, including floral and geometric designs, animal and bird motifs, fruit and vegetable motifs, human and architectural themes, and calligraphy. The most popular stitches are stem, satin, cross stitch, French knot, long and short stitches. The concept of embroidery is unique in terms of economic development since it represents the tradition and culture of a country. | en_US |
