Abstract: | The movements of humans and documentation of ideas on stones caused appearance of Rock Art. Therefore, Rock Art exists on those sites where human lived their life and accommodated and migrated from one place to another place. Thus, they left the evidence of their existence on the surface of Rock that is now known as Rock Art. They include the carved images of their culture, religious symbols, hunting scenes, geometrical figures and etc. Pakistan holds very strong strategic position because of diversified culture. In ancient times people migrated and visited this land and made their marks on the Rocks. Those marks became their identity describing their eras or dynasties. Pakistan is rich in Rock Art culture from north to south. In this research the researcher collected the data from different sites of the Gilgit-Baltistan (Upper Indus Valley) Chilas, Ziarat, Thalpan and Sindh sites includes Karachi, Gadap from Thado Dam after the data collection detailed descriptions and discussions of all sites has been documented along with their comparisons. The researcher analyzed in this research that Sindh Karachi district Gadap Thado Dam sites are older than Gilgit Baltistan (Upper Indus Valley) Chilas, Ziarat and Thalpan sites. |
