Abstract: | This study investigated the role of emotional intelligence in shaping the job performance and turnover intention of teachers in the Pakistani Universities. Alongside emotional intelligence there are other factors which are studied like affective commitment, knowledge sharing behaviour, and organizational Climate. This study has analysed how emotional intelligence with the mediators' affective commitment and knowledge sharing behaviour can influence the job performance and turnover intention of the university teachers. The organizational Climate is used as moderator between KSB and JP as well as with KSB and TI. The Theory of Job Resource Demand (JD-R) is used to support the construct in the research. The study employed the Quantitative survey method with data obtaining from university professors located in the cities of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sukkur, Khairpur and Karachi. The total number of sample is consisted of 386 with teachers ranging from professors to lecturers of both genders. The data in this study was evaluated using several methods like Reliability Analysis, Regression Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with help of software like SPSS-25 and SmartPLS-4. The results confirmed that there is significant role of emotional intelligence, affective commitment, knowledge sharing behaviour, and organizational climate in Job performance and turnover Intention.
