Abstract: | This study provides an analysis of the impact of the resurgence of great power politics on Pakistan's position in the international arena. In recent years, there has been a notable transformation in the global landscape, characterized by the resurgence of once-influential nations and the intensification of geopolitical rivalry. Pakistan finds itself at a critical juncture when it faces the challenge of effectively managing its national security priorities while navigating the intricate dynamics of an ever-evolving global landscape. The study offers a comprehensive analysis of the influence exerted by the interactions among the United States, China, and Russia on the formulation of Pakistan's foreign policy choices. This dissertation examines the evolving dynamics of international alliances, specifically focusing on the emerging competition between the United States and China, as well as the expanding strategic cooperation between China and Russia. The consequences of these shifting dynamics for Pakistan are also analysed and explored. The study also examines the foreign policy reaction of Pakistan in light of the favourable changes in power dynamics. This analysis scrutinizes the diplomatic endeavours, regional partnerships, and strategic affiliations of the nation in response to these evolving circumstances. This research examines the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its prospective advantages and risks, with an analysis of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and its impact on Pakistan's regional standing. Moreover, the study elucidates the prospective advantages and disadvantages that might emerge from Pakistan's association with prominent nations. The analysis examines the effects resulting from the shift in coverage aims of the United States, the increasing economic and military dominance of China, and the developing participation of Russia in South Asia. The effects of foreign countries' meddling in internal conflicts and counterterrorism efforts in Pakistan are also considered. The final objective of this observation is to shed light on how the return of major powers has affected Pakistan's foreign 2 policy. If policymakers and academics make an effort to analyze the interaction between the world's leading powers and their influence on Pakistan's decision-making, they would have a better understanding of Pakistan's future challenges and opportunities. Using this assessment as a foundation for policy innovation will help Pakistan's national pursuits become more integrated within the complexity of contemporary geopolitics.
