dc.description.abstract | In this dissertation, the synthesis of a series of N-substituted triazinoindole thiol derivatives (5a were reported. The synthesis of respective triazinoindole thiol derivatives (Sa-i) has been achieved in four steps. In the fIrst step, different anilines were treated with 2-chloro acetyl chloride in the presence trimethylamine as a base and dichloromethane as a solvent to get 2 chloro-N-phenyl acetamides (2a-i). In second step N-substituted isatins (3a-i) were synthesized by reacting isatin with 2-chloro-N-phenyl acetamides (2a-i). These N-substituted isatins (3a-i) were then condensed with thiosernicarbazide to form respective thiosemicarbazones (4a-i) and in fInal step thiosemicarbazones of N-substituted isatins (4a-i) were cyclized in presence of K2C03 and water to get respective N-substituted triazinoindole thiol derivatives (Sa-i) in good to excellent yields (70-81 %). All of the synthesized N-substituted triazinoindole thiol derivatives (Sa-i) have been characterized by their physical properties and spectroscopic (IH NMR & l3C NMR) techniques. The synthesized compounds are expected to have a good biological profIle. The synthesized compounds will be tested for their biological properties and their SAR (Structure Activity Relationship) would also be explored. | en_US |
