Abstract: This essay is aimed at detailed discussion about Polygamy Laws enforced in Pakistan. It is a product of exploratory work on the subject matter on one hand and a critical analysis on the other hand with respect to Islamic jurisprudence. At first instance the position and pelmissibility of plural marriages has been observed under the teachings of The Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Secondly it has been observed that how Islam endeavors to organize this practice and what pre conditions are prescribed by it for this act. Thirdly the laws in Pakistan regulating this act have been viewed in depth in order to discover whether these laws are compatible with Shariah in order to ensure its advantages and to minimize injustice or go contrary to it.
