Abstract: This thesis examines the impact of the fall of Kabul, on Pakistan 's landscape. With the downfall of the Afghan government and the subsequent rise of the Taliban in Kabul, Pakistan faces both opportuniti es and challenges due to its historical ti es with Afghanistan. Using an approach that considers international relations, secUlity analysis and regional geopolitics this research explores the complex ramifications of fall of Kabul for Pakistan. The study analyzes security concerns such as instability spreading and refugee movements as well as their implications for Pakistan's ongoing counterterrorism and insurgency efforts, within its own borders. Moreover, this study explores the economic consequences that occurred after the fall of Kabul. It analyzes how these consequences shape Pakistan's foreign policy objectives and its influence, in the region. The changing dynamics within Kabul along with the resurgence of the Taliban have the potential to affect Pakistan's role in shaping Afghanistan's path. The thesis also closely examines how Pakistan's relationships with players like the United States, China and Russia have evolved and their impact on Pakistan's strategic considerations. Furthelmore, this study explores the ranging implications for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative. The instability, in Afghanistan introduces uncertainty into connectivity and economic cooperation intersecting with Pakistan's economic priorities and trade routes. In essence, this comprehensive investigation offers a deeper understanding of the fall of Kabul and its substantial effects on Pakistan's security, diplomatic strategies, and economic framework. By shedding light on the multifaceted challenges and opportunities stemming from this pivotal event, this study provides invaluable insights for policymakers, scholars, and analysts navigating the constantly evolving landscape of the region's strategic dynamics.
