Abstract

An access control system protects assets and employees and provides effective solutions to security control problems affecting every business, big or small. An access control system can closely supervise a building while allowing aulhorized persOlmel to enter and ex it without the annoyance of complicated and costly security measures. The flexibility of integrated systems assists security personnel in providing cost-effective services and maintaining the level of security required by management The access control system automatically locks and unlocks doors according to user specified schedules or valid entry identifi cations. A cardholder will be able to enter a secure area according to usage parameters. The parameters are defined by the system administrator and will allow access to certain areas during certain times and days. Entry can be recorded by the system for future reference and reporting. Every card is unique and a lost or stol en card can be easily voided from the system to prevent further use. With a lock and key system, if a user loses his key, every lock has to replace and new keys must be distributed to every user.
