YUV Video Surveillance System

Abstract

It is n home/office application making use of USB video camera. The system is to be integmted with "Optimized Mpeg2 Encoder" which supports YUV & PPM frame s only. The main objective o f the soflware is to provide secure se rvice without the lise ofcX"tra ordinary expensive hardware. Nonna lly CCTV devices are used for this purpose, which is much expensive and need extra hardware. This soaware will try to provide the secure and same functionality through the simple home PC and a usn Camern. The project is re lated to development ofan application to provide security service. It will grab frames fi"Om the camera and then convert them from ROB to YUV420 fonnaLIt will detect motion and instantly ring a security alarm on the server. The system can also save YUV Video & YUV Snapshot.
