Abstract: | 9 Stones is a Windows game developed using Java as a Programming language. The main objective of developing this game is to transform an old traditional game into Windows game with the same playing rules. The game consists of a board which has 24 locations and each player have 9 stones. Initially all locations are empty. Game has two phases one is stone placing phase and the other is stone moving phase. In placing phase each player can place one stone at a time on an empty location on the board. Player tries to place stone on a sequence. When three stones become adjacent in a sequence player can take one stone of the opponent. After placing phase is completed, stone moving phase starts. Player can only move a stone to its adjacent empty location. When there is a sequence of three stones player can take one stone of the opponent. The game continues until one of each player loses by having only two stones or could not make legal move that is all adjacent locations are occupied by the opponent. |
