Abstract: This dissertation pertains to investigate the 2D seismic interpretation of seismic line, 9063-86. The area of study is Indus Offshore. Data was recorded and processed in 1986 by OGDCL. The data passed through a desirable processing sequence and finally a time section was prepared. The time section gives the position of different reflectors in terms of two way reflection times. Rms and interval velocities computed during processing are also provided with the seismic section at selected CDP’S and are used for the collection of average velocities to convert the given time section into depth section. Four reflectors R1, R2, R3,R4 are marked due to their prominent reflection on the seismic section. On the basis of well tops of PAK CAN well-o1 the reflectors are named Miocene, Oligocene, Paleocene and Crataceous respectively. Iso-velocity map is prepared by taking average velocities. From mean line method of velocity estimation, a mean average velocity is determined. Time section is prepared by using two way arrival time from seismic section. Using these arrival times and average velocities, depth of each reflector has been calculated and is represented in depth section. The area is extensional regime and normal faults are common in the area.
