Abstract: | Humanitarian emergencies are caused by man-made or natural disasters; are a major feature of contemporary global situation. I r they are not adequately dealt with by international law and practice, they can threaten the survival or welfare of huge number of people. Humanitarian emergencies can strike everywhere and require collective action by the international community to avoid the suffering and loss of life. Refugees crisis are mammoth humanitarian emergencies. Many people are expel led outside their countries because of well founded fear of persecution based on their race religion, nationality, political opinion or a membership in a particular social group or who cannot or do not want to return home. Moreover, the refugees are the persons who in res ponse to phys ical, economic, military or political pressure leave the ir region or country of ori gin and move to another. Refugee's movement can consequently arises in response of specific ethnic or other groups, which cause suffering to the large number of people. |
