Abstract: We often come across nonlinear systems and their associated nonlinear equa- tions and both pure and applied mathematics play a vital role in dealing with such kind of equations. When we talk about non linear analysis, its fundamental importance in physical, biological, engineering and technological sciences can be seen in the formulation and analysis of various classes of equation. As far as xed point theory is concerned, its extensiveness can be seen by its applications in various elds. Theorems that are concerned with the ex- istence and properties of xed points are known as xed point theorems. These theorems play a very important role for proving the existence and uniqueness of solutions for various mathematical models. Metric xed point theory has taken on new dimensions since the inception of the well known Banach contraction principle, and this contraction principle gives us a really suitable base to nd xed point for self mappings. The main aim of this thesis is to add some more widely applicable results to the literature.
