Abstract: The genetic di versity was observed among dlrrerent CU ltiVllfS of peas, Tolal 126 accession from the different origins were grown under field condi tion in an 3llgmented design at National Agricultural Research Center, Islamabad. The gennplasm was evaluated for qualitative, quantitative, quality traits, SDS-PAGE and screening of powdery mildew to study genetic diversity of peas. Frequency distribution and cluster analysis for qualitative traits revealed that considerable variation exists in different gennpiasl1l of pea. Quant itative traits showed significant variation for chlorophyll content [Tesh pod length, grain yield,100 seed weight crude protein and carbohydrate. Correlation studied among twenty-oue selected character showed occurrence of significant association while not much variation exists in ash%, number of locules per fresh pod, fat%. and fiber %. The considerable genetic variation was observed as reveal ed by cluster analys is on the basis of quantitative traits. Selection of best genotype were done along with their further evaluation and utilization in different programme. Among screening of powdery mildew in all the accession considerable variation was observed 00 the basis of screening some resistant genotype were selected.
